Welsh Regional Champions!

Cardiff City's House of sport housed the 2010-2011 Welsh regions N:Power Cup. Peter Lea Primary School had entered the Welsh regions round with high expectations, following the success in the South Wales Championships.

After a gruelling schedule the boys emerged second in their group, losing out on the top spot by one point to Pencoed Primary school.

As we entered the knock out stages, tensions ran high. Peter Lea kept their cool and progressed to the final following a 2-1 victory (The only goal we conceded on the day) and a close penalty shoot out in the semi-final.

The final was against Pencoed Primary school, the winners of our group earlier that day!

The match proved to be a very even contest and once again we would have to experience the drama of a penalty shoot out!

Callum. S saved 3 out of 5 penalties, whilst Byron. G scored the winning penalty.

Llongyfarchiadau Peter Lea!

Success at the Football League Community Cup

Peter Lea Football Team participated in the Football League Community cup at Cardiff City's new hi-tech 'House of Sport'.

The team was in group C and managed to win 5 out of 6 games on the day. We will be progressing to the next stages of the cup which includes teams from all over Wales.

Mr Broad and Mr Hillberg were very proud of the performances and outstanding sportsmanship shown throughout the day.
