All children are expected to be in school at 8:55am ready to begin their school day. Reception, Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 doors open at 8.50am to allow children to make their way to their classrooms, where teachers will be waiting to ‘meet and greet’ them.

Breakfast club doors open at 8:10am. No children, attending breakfast club, should be unattended on the school grounds without an adult before 8:10am

Foundation Phase

Nursery pupils are dropped off and collected from the main Nursery doors.

9.10am -11.40am (Morning children)

12.45pm – 3.15pm (Afternoon children)

Reception pupils (Dosbarth 1) are also dropped off and collected from their classroom doors.

Key Stage 1

Pupils in Year 1 and 2 (Dosbarth 2, 3 & 4) will arrive in school through the main Foundation Phase doors and be collected directly from their classroom doors.

Key Stage 2

Pupils in Years 3 and 4 (Dosbarth 5, 6 & 7) will enter the school from the KS2 yard doors at the far end of the yard away from Nursery, nearest Amethyst Road. They will also all be dismissed from these doors at the end of the day.

Pupils in Years 5 and 6 (Dosbarth 8, 9 & 10) will enter school from the KS2 yard doors at the Nursery end of the playground (entering opposite the staffroom), and again dismissed from these doors.

Attendance

Attendance is also vitally important to how well a child will thrive in school and poor attendance can not only impact significantly on achievement and progress but also on friendships and wellbeing. The aim is for all pupils to have an attendance of 95% or above.
